Back from my relative's houses...

I dunno about my other Malaysian friends, but Chinese New Year seems to be getting boring for me... *sigh*... Perhaps it's because I'm not so close to the relatives on my father's side... they don't incline to speak English, we don't have much things to talk about, and my grandmother speaks Hakka, which I don't and can barely understand...

Still, this year was quite nice... Since I didn't go back to Malaysia last year, this year my 七叔 (seventh uncle-- I've got 8 uncles and 3 aunts on my dad's side) greeted me with: “四眼仔，我认得你！” （sai ngan zai, ngo ying dak nei!-- excerpt from 功夫, Kung Fu Hustle) Haha... a good start for me. You see, usually I don't quite enjoy being in my grandmother's house in Sekinchan, when I was small I usually stay in the room and read books... but this year was OK! The food tasted much better! My mum says my appetite for food has changed... becoming more carnivorous (Roar!)...

Apart from Sekinchan, I also went to meet my relatives from my mother's side in Klang. Wan Ying 姐姐 (my 表姐) who I haven't met for about 4~5 years came back from the US. 二舅 and his wife came all the way from Melbourne! Too bad their two daughters didn't come... if not, it would've really been a "reunion"... Oh, and I met my 2 表侄女 (daughter of my cousin)... my rank was "upgraded" 5 years ago... haha... one of them is actually the same age as my youngest sister... but my sister higher ranked! Haha...

Had a pleasant surprise when we came back to BP... a bird had built a nest in our mulberry tree... so sweet! ... I just saw the bird today... I hope it makes a stable nest...
