Busy and Slack
Haven't posted since the exams ended... haha... guess I'm just lazy nowadays
Anyway, I went back for an extended period coz Eric said he had to delay the SiChuanDouHua Restaurant buffet that we were supposed to have (to mark the end of the exams =P). He changed the date to Monday, which meant that I couldn't go, coz I had choir prac that night.
I slacked for 2~3 days after I came back... Reading my books, went to sing karaoke etc.
Then I made an ultimate mistake of drinking tea when I had supper with a senior. Couldn't sleep the whole night! And what more, I had an important event, AIESEC transition going on the next day. Speaking of which, I presented badly for my part, and I felt really disappointed with myself. Now what junior is gonna like a 'leader' who's gonna stutter through his presentations? I shudder to imagine the embarassment I might get. Really gotta buck up in this aspect.
Next day was also AIESEC stuff. It was actually a training event for the new committees in each Local Commitee (NTU, NUS, SMU) concerning how we keep track of our targets etc. Really corporatized and really gets quite confusing to me at times. So it's no wonder that sometimes I think AIESEC is more tailored to Business students. But learning stuff about the corporate world won't do any harm to me, so... just gotta get used to it.
I missed a chance to meet my potential juniors during the Aerospace Engineering High Tea session at Raffles City Convention Centre because of the AIESEC thingy, so I decided to go with Visayon and Minh Huong to TJC Choir concert. Vi dragged his Malaysian friend along, who was in NUS choir. Met some TJ Choir members who were the same batch as me. The concert started off with a nice song that consisted of various North American Indian languages. But it would likely be placed under the label of "cheem" choral music, with "weird" sounds being produced at various times. I especially enjoyed the clashing of notes in the beginning... gave me a feeling of sea waves... Minh Huong kept saying that she thinks our batch was better... haha... I wouldn't deny that some of the performances were really lacklustre. Lacked the energy (Ooomph!) and even volume.
My 1 Star Kayaking course took up most of my Sunday. It was the first time I kayaked and it was kinda fun... although we had to capsize (on purpose) 3 times during the course into the not-so-clean Kallang waters. The second half of the course will be completed next Sunday. One noticeable side effect after Sunday's course is that even as I'm typing this, I feel slightly light-headed and I feel like I'm swaying left and right, like I am when I am in my kayak... Haha... @.@
Next week should be slacker...
