Choir concerts

Recently I attended the NUS choir concert and NTU choir concert (actually just came back a few hours ago from the NTU one).

What I liked about the NTU one was that it had all the creative music thingy stuff going on. It was harder for NUS to do that because they chose the musica sacra (sacred music) theme. Both choirs had guest choir performances... NUS had a primary school choir as guest choir! They were so cuuuuuuuuuute! Hahaha...

NTU had 2 guest choirs... CHIJ St. Nicholas choir had this 'shrieky' song... there were some really really high pitches there @.@ kinda painful to the ears though. Their other song, "sakura" was much more pleasant. There were some parts in the song where there were people speaking Japanese in the background; Tang Ning called them the "rappers"... Haha...

What NUS had that NTU didn't was professionalism... theirs were more proper and dainty, with nice costumes to boot. But NTU definitely won in the choreography part... It was exciting with the band players, costumes, gliter, bling-bling and all. The second half of the NTU concert really made many of us ex-choir people want to join choir again. Wen Loong was high when the concert ended... guess he had a Coke too many.

All in all, music is still something I enjoy to listen and critique. SYC ensemble singer's concert next? (rather expensive though, at S$20)
